The high that comes from landing a major commitment can do wonders for a program in the future, as it often leads to adding more and more talent in the class. Kentucky is hoping that will be the case with its 2024 class after the addition of 4-star quarterback Cutter Boley.

Boley announced his commitment to the hometown Wildcats on May 18, reclassifying to head to campus a year earlier, where he may become the starting QB of the future following the departure of Devin Leary.

He joins two 3-star in-state offensive lineman Hayes Johnson and Aba Selm, creating a tight-knit nucleus that could lead to an impressive class for head coach Mark Stoops. The Cats will now look to keep the foot on the gas.

Hosting a gigantic visitor weekend in early June will be massive, but the Cats are also now finalists for a pair of 2024 recruits, it was announced on Wednesday.

First up was Terhyon Nichols, a 4-star cornerback out of Withrow High School in Cincinnati. The Cats are joined by the hometown Cincinnati Bearcats, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Pittsburgh:

Kentucky appears to be near the top of the heap for the 5-foot-10, 166-pounder, who has taken two unofficial visits to Lexington already this year, with an official reportedly scheduled for the jam-packed weekend of June 5. Vince Marrow is leading the recruitment for UK.

He'll also take OVs to Pittsburgh, Penn State and Michigan afterward, in that order. Nichols is the No. 280 overall player in the 2024 class, the No. 28 CB and No. 8 player in the state of Ohio, per the On3 Consensus

Later in June, Kentucky will welcome 2024 linebacker Jaden Smith for an official visit. The West Charlotte High School product out of Charlotte, N.C. announced on Wednesday that the Wildcats have made his top seven, along with Virginia Tech, Utah, Louisville, Michigan, Georgia Tech and USC:

He'll head to Blacksburg to visit with the Hokies before coming to Kentucky. Va Tech is the early frontrunner for the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder, having already had two unofficial visits before the scheduled OV. He visited Lexington on an unofficial in early April. Smith has a 3-star ranking from On3
