Some of K-State's best athletes over the past 30 years have come from the from the lone star state. Here is my list of the best Kansas State football players from Texas (Juco players not included)

#20 Charmeachealle Moore LB 2012-2016 Dallas, TX  Honorable mention all Big 12 2016.

#19 Victor Mann FB 2002-2005 Fort Worth, TX  Honorable mention all Big 12 2005. Lead blocker for Darren Sproles in 2004.

#18 Thomas Houchin DE 2000-2003 Sanger, TX  9 Career sacks. Starter on the 2003 Big 12 championship team.

#17 Rogerick Green CB 1988-1991 San Antonio, TX  2nd team all Big 8 1991. Drafted in the 5th round of the 1992 NFL draft.

#16 Kirby Hocutt LB 1991-1994 Sherman, TX  2nd team all Big 8 1993. Led Big 8 in tackles in 1993 with 135.

#15 Mathew McCrane K 2014-2017 Brownwood, TX  1st team all Big 12 2017. Ranks 2nd in Big 12 history & 7th in NCAA history for career field goal percentage (86.4%).

#14 Bryan Hickman LB 2000-2003 Mesquite, TX  2nd team all Big 12 in 2003. Member of the Three Nasty Texans linebacker unit.

#13 Randall Cummins OL 1997-2000 Cedar Hill, TX  2 time first team all Big 12 (1999 & 2000) 

#12 John Hubert RB 2010-2013 Waco, TX  1st team all Big 12 in 2012. Honorable mention all Big 12 2013. 4th on Kansas State career rushing yards list with 2993 yards.

#11 Elijah Alexander DE/LB 1989-1991 Fort Worth, TX  Finished career with 234 tackles, 34 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. Drafted in the 10th round of the 1992 NFL draft, went on to play 10 seasons in the NFL.

#10 Sean Snyder P 1991-1992 Greenville, TX  Consensus 1st team All American 1992. Big 8 Defensive Newcomer of the year in 1991.

#9 Joe Gordon CB 1991-1994 Fort Worth, TX  2 time 1st team all Big 8 (1993 & 1994)

#8 Jerametrius Butler CB 1998-2000 Dallas, TX   1st team all Big 12 in 2000. 10 career INT despite leaving a year early for the NFL. Drafted in the 5th round of the 2001 NFL draft.

#7 Jeromey Clary OL 2002-2005  Mansfield, TX  2 time 2nd team all Big 12 (2004 & 2005). Started 37 consecutive games. Drafted in the 6th round of the 2006 NFL draft.

#6 Kendyl Jacox OL 1994-1997 Dallas, TX  1st team all Big 12 in 1997. went undrafted but started 93 games in the NFL.

#5 Jarrod Cooper S 1997-2000 Pearland, TX  1st team all big 12 in 1998. 2nd team all Big 12 in 1999. 310 career tackles. Drafted in the 5th round of the 2001 NFL draft.

#4 Josh Buhl LB 2000-2003 Mesquite, TX  2nd team All American in 2003. 1st team all Big 12 in 2003. 2nd team all Big 12 in 2002. Led nation and set KSU record for tackles in 2003 with 184. 398 career tackles.

#3 Terry Pierce LB 2000-2002 Fort Worth, TX  1st team all Big 12 in 2002. Big 12 defensive freshman of the year in 2000. 210 career tackles despite leaving for the NFL a year early. Drafted in the 2nd round of the 2003 NFL draft.

#2 Nick Lecky OL 2000-2003 Grapevine, TX  1st team All American (CBSSports.com) in 2002. 1st team All American (ESPN.com) in 2003. 2 time first team all Big 12 (2002 & 2003). Started 41 consecutive games. Drafted in the 6th round of the 2004 NFL draft.

#1 Ell Roberson QB 2000-2003 Baytown, TX  2003 Big 12 championship game MVP. Horable mention All American (CBSSports) in 2003. Owns KSU record for most TD passes in a season, rush yards by a QB, rush yards in a game by a QB.
