The 3-headed monster will be ready to attack.
The Running Backs. The Big Men on Campus. Thats how its always been at Kansas State for as long as I can remember and this year is no different. If anything its better than its been in a while. The Cats have 3 guys that could be starting D1 RBs, which is a good problem to have. Unfortunately last week they struggled...badly.
I dont see these guys having that kind of issue again this season. This isnt to say that the other defenses they play will be bad. Klieman will do whatever it takes to make us appear less 1 dimensional in the running game from here on out. This may include more pass catching by the backs.
James Gilbert, the transfer from Ball State, has already had one 1,000 yard season in college. He is already off to a solid start through 4 games with 321 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Harry Trotter, the Louisville transfer, was born in Kansas and sat out last year because of NCAA transfer rules. He currently has 122 yards coupled with 2 TDs.
Jordon Brown, the former Tar Heel, has plenty of D1 running and pass catching experience. He had 166 yards rushing, 3 rushing touchdowns, and 5 catches out of the backfield. Hopefully his pass catching abilty will rub off on the other 2 and Skylar can gain some more receiving options.
