Nick Ast - Future QB1?

A lot of attention has been given to who may eventually replace Skylar Thompson at quarterback - could this be it?

Cimmaron, Kansas product Nick Ast is a 6'5" sophomore quarterback. 

While Chris Herron and Jon Holcombe have garnered most of the attention at the battle for QB2, its Ast who could ultimately be the QB1-in-waiting behind the incumbent, Thompson. 

From his film, you can see that his footwork is a little clunky and his ball velocity is a little questionable - but he's got good decision making and accuracy that could ultimately translate in to big things at this level.
