Wes and Rod: The 2 K-Staters

The 2 active full-time NBA players to come from Kansas State University have finally made appearance on the hardwood this year.

In my last Cats in the NBA article not a single former Wildcat hade played for even a minute. I am happy to announce that has since changed as Rodney McGruder and Wesley Iwundu have both started to put in some minute for their respective teams.

One thing that is less than exciting is how effective they have been. Iwundu has only played in 2 games averaging 10 minutes and 2 points per game. Wes did manage to get 4 rebounds off of the bench in The Orlando Magic 1-point loss to The Dallas Mavericks last night. Mcgruder on the other hand has played in 4 games and averaged a little more than 12 minutes per game. He has yet to score for his new team, The Los Angeles Clippers. Part of that could be based on the fact that he has only attempted 5 shots in 4 games.

Continue to watch out for these guys as I expect to see both of them get more time on the court, as they are coming back from injuries.
