Meet your 2019 Recruit: Thomas Grayson, Running Back, Oklahoma
A huge win for head coach Chris Klieman came in the form of running back Thomas Grayson from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Kansas State beat out multiple other offers including: BYU, Arkansas State and most notably, Nebraska to land the three star prospect.
Grayson is a tough, downhill runner who rarely gets arm tackled and displays tremendous balance on the move.
Grayson committed late, not taking a visit to KSU until February after receiving an offer in late January, Grayson committed to the Wildcats on February 6th.
Kansas State running back's coach Brian Anderson led the recruiting charge, and locked down the commitment despite a strong push from the Cornhuskers.
Thomas Grayson's path to active playing time is a tough one. Coach Klieman and the Cats have been pushing hard to sign multiple capable backs this offseason, and will likely hand primary back duties to James Gilbert in the Fall of 2019.
Grayson will have a chance to win a spot in the rotation this Fall, but it seems more likely that he'll redshirt and begin contributing a couple of years from now.
