LOUISVILLE, Ky. - It's officially transfer portal season.

Monday marked the first day of the 45-day transfer window for college basketball, meaning that players across the sport can now officially enter the portal. Considering the Louisville men's basketball program recently concluded an 8-24 campaign that culminated in the firing of second-year coach Kenny Payne, the Cardinals are expected to see a ton of movement between players leaving and players opting to join the program once a new head coach is hired.

Transferring Out (5)

Curtis Williams
Curtis Williams / Jared Anderson - Louisville Report

Curtis Williams

Position: Small Forward
Year: Freshman
Transfer Date: Mar. 16, 2024

Playing in all 32 games with four starts, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound wing showed flashes of potential as a true scoring threat, but was also very inconsistent with his shooting.

Williams averaged 5.3 points per game and cracked double figures six times, but shot just 31.7 percent from the field and 28.7 percent on three-point attempts. He also tallied just 42 rebounds and 20 assists on the season.

The Detroit, Mich. native came to Louisville as a four-star prospect in the Class of 2023 according to the 247Sports Composite, choosing the Cards over Florida State, Providence, Alabama, Xavier and others. He ranked as high as the No. 21 small forward and the No 74 prospect in the cycle, per Rivals.

Kaleb Glenn

Position: Small Forward
Year: Freshman
Transfer Date: Mar. 16, 2024

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound forward made a noticeable impact as a true freshman, especially down the stretch. As one of just four Cardinals to play in all 32 games - while also making 11 starts - Glenn averaged 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, while also shooting 48.6 percent from the field. Over the final nine games of the season, he averaged 8.0 points and 4.8 rebounds.

Glenn spent the first three years of his high school career just down the street from UofL's campus at Louisville (Ky.) Male, before ultimately transferring to La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere for his senior season. There, he put up 15.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, and came out of high school as the No. 75 prospect in the Class of 2023 according to the 247Sports Composite.

He originally committed to former Louisville head coach Chris Mack in September of 2021, but stuck to his commitment after Mack and Louisville mutually agreed to part ways.

J.J. Traynor
J.J. Traynor / Jared Anderson - Louisville Report

J.J. Traynor

Position: Power Forward
Year: Senior
Transfer Date: Mar. 17, 2024

The 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward played in each of Louisville's first eight games of the season with three starts, averaging 10.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 51.6 percent from the field.

However, Traynor suffered a shoulder injury against DePaul back on Dec. 9, one that eventually would rule him out for the rest of the season. While he has exhausted his eligibility, he has the option to try and pursue a medical waiver for the 2024-25 season.

The Bardstown (Ky.) HS product joined the program as part of their Class of 2020, and had a minimal role on the team over his first two seasons in college. Traynor took a big step forward for his junior season, averaging 6.9 points and 3.8 rebounds over 32 games and 15 starts. He was one of just four Cardinals to return from last season's squad after UofL went just 4-28.

Dennis Evans

Position: Center
Year: Freshman
Transfer Date: Mar. 17, 2024

The 7-foot-1, 215-pound center was a massive addition, both literally and figuratively, out of high school. Evans ranked as high as the No. 11 prospect in the nation according to Rivals, and was the No. 39 player in the 2023 cycle according to the 247Sports Composite.

Once on campus, the Riverside, Calif. native displayed his longterm potential, but was still an incredibly raw prospect. Evans played in the first seven games of the 2023-24 season, five of which were starts, totaling 11 points, six rebounds and five blocks.

Then, after missing the next six games due to what was only described as a shoulder injury, Louisville announced on Jan. 4 that Evans was no longer "medically cleared to compete" at Louisville.

Danilo Jovanovich

Position: Power Forward
Year: Sophomore
Transfer Date: Mar. 18, 2024

The 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward joined Louisville last offseason after spending his true freshman season at Miami, but had a minimal on-court impact. While he played in 20 games and made five starts, Jovanovich totaled just 24 points, 22 rebounds and five assists over 166 minutes played.

During his lone season with Miami, the Milwaukee, Wisc. native appeared in just one game for the Canes due to an ankle injury, but did not log any stats. Jovanovich was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 190 player in the Class of 2022 according to the 247Sports Composite.
