Watch: 'The Ville' Players, Coaches Talk TBT Bracket Reveal

The Louisville alumni team will open up their TBT run against the Auburn alumni team "War Ready."

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Basketball Tournament announced the full bracket for the 2023 iteration of the event on Wednesday, and the Louisville men's basketball alumni taking part now knows their exact draw to start the 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all tournament.

"The Ville" was chosen as the No. 2 seeded-team in the eight-team Louisville Regional, where games will be played at legendary Freedom Hall. They will open play against the seventh-seeded Auburn alumni team "War Ready." Tip-off is set for Tuesday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m. EST. 

The winner of the matchup will face either No. 4 seed Shell Shock or No. 5 seed Gataverse on Thursday, July 27 at 8:00 p.m. EST. The Louisville Regional championship game will take place on Saturday, July 29 at 12:00 p.m. EST.

Freedom Hall will also host the winner of the Louisville Regional for a matchup against the winner of the Lubbock Regional in the TBT quarterfinals on Monday, July 31 at 9:00 p.m. EST. The TBT semifinals and championship game will take place in Philadelphia, Pa. on Wednesday, August 2 and Thursday, August 3, respectively.

On Wednesday following the TBT bracket reveal, "The Ville" players Russ Smith and Peyton Siva, head coach Mark Lieberman and general manager Luke Hancock met with the media to discuss the reveal and team as a whole.
