LOUISVILLE, Ky. - To celebrate their 75th anniversary ranking men's college basketball teams on a weekly basis, the Associated Press recently released their all-time AP Top 25 poll, which collected the vote totals from the more than 1,200 AP Polls ever published since their first poll in January of 1949 to produce one singular poll.

As you can imagine, the Louisville men's basketball program wound up being very high in the all-time poll. With 9,493 all-time votes in the AP Poll, the Cardinals landed at No. 6 in the all-time AP Top 25 poll.

Unsurprisingly, the five programs that are near universally regarded as the blue bloods in the sport all placed well ahead of Louisville in the top five. Kentucky took home the all-time No. 1 crown with 17,852 votes, with North Carolina right behind them at No. 2 with 17,268 votes. Duke landed at No. 3 with 16,867 votes, Kansas claimed No. 4 with 15,430 votes, and UCLA was at No. 5 with 13,043 votes.

The ACC claimed the most schools inside both the top-10 all-time poll with four, and tied the Big Ten with the most schools in top-25. Syracuse came in at No. 9, while Virginia was ranked No. 21, Notre Dame at No. 22 and NC State rounded out the poll at No. 25.

In their 110-year history, Louisville has been one of the most successful programs in all of men's college basketball. The Cardinals have an on-court record of 1,904-1,019, including the 123-3 record vacated by the NCAA, which would be good for 12th all-time. In their 43 all-time NCAA Tournament appearances, they have made 28 Sweet Sixteens, 14 Elite Eights and 10 Final Fours, all of which are sixth all-time. This also includes winning the 1980, 1986 and 2013 national championships.
