LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Yet another member of the Louisville men's basketball program will miss extended time due to injury.

Sophomore guard Skyy Clark confirmed on X, formerly Twitter, that he suffered a broken rib in the Cardinals' previous game against Georgia Tech this past Saturday. Clark took a hard fall in the second half against the Yellow Jackets, but remained in the game.

While it is unknown how long he will be sidelined for, he posted that he would "be back soon."

"Broke rib… no sweat… no complaints!!!," Clark posted on X. "Still finished it out for the my guys. Couldn’t breathe and It hurt like crazy tho be back soon #cardnation."

Clark's injury is only the latest in a lengthy list of significant ailments suffered by Cardinals this season, as UofL has already lost three players for the year. Dennis Evans was not medically cleared to compete, J.J. Traynor re-injured his shoulder and Hercy Miller needed a procedure on a lingering hip injury.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound point guard has played in 23 of Louisville's 24 games up to this point with 22 starts, missing only the matchup vs. Florida State back on Feb. 3 with a hip injury, and coming off the bench in last Wednesday's game at Syracuse. Clark is second on the team in points (13.1), assists (2.9) and steals (1.0) per game.

The Los Angeles, Calif. native joined Louisville this past offseason after spending his true freshman season at Illinois. The former five-star prospect averaged 7.0 points, 3.7 assists and 2.1 assists per game in the Illini's first 13 games of the season announcing that he would be stepping away due to "personal reasons."

Louisville will be back in action this Tuesday when they travel up to Boston College. Tip-off against the Eagles is set for 9:00 p.m. EST.
