Game Day Live Blog: Louisville at Syracuse | Game 23
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Fresh off of snapping their lengthy losing streak, the Louisville men's basketball is heading back on the road in an attempt to build a winning streak, traveling to upstate New York to face Syracuse.
Thanks in part to career performances from both Ty-Laur Johnson and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, the Cardinals were able to outlast Florida State in a barnburner, claiming a 101-92 decision against the Seminoles to break a six-game skid. It not only marked their first victory against FSU since Mar. 7, 2018, it was UofL's first home win in the series since Jan. 20, 2016.
As for the Orange, year one under head coach Adrian Autry started strong, but Syracuse has hit a bit of a lull over the last month. They started the season at 10-3 with wins over LSU and Oregon, but Cuse has since lost five of their last nine games, and most recently suffered a 99-70 blowout loss at Wake Forest.
