The highlights, photo gallery and team & player notes from the Cardinals' win vs. the Hurricanes.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the first time in just over two years, the Louisville men's basketball program has won a game on the road.

Facing a Miami team who had won 25 of their last 26 games at home, the Cardinals were able to stun the Hurricanes at the Watsco Center, leaving Coral Gables with an 80-71 victory.

Team Notes:

  • KEY FIRST HALF RUN: Between 16:39 and 12:45, Louisville used a 15-2 run to gain an 18-10 edge over the Hurricanes. Thirteen of the Cardinals’ 15 points came at the hands of Mike James with three 3’s and two additional jumpers. Miami responded with a 12-2 run of their own to regain a steady lead through the end of the half. 
  • KEY SECOND HALF RUN: The Hurricanes used an 8-0 run early in the half to extend their lead to eight points, eventually pushing it to as much as nine. Louisville closed the game with seven unanswered points to tie it up at 57-all with just under 10 minutes remaining. The Cards and Canes went blow for blow with one another until Louisville scored the final nine points of the game, seven from the free throw line, to seal the win.
  • UofL shot 28 of 57 (49.1%) from the field, 14 of 28 (50.0%) from 3-point range, and 14 of 16 (87.5%) from the free-throw line.
  • Louisville scored 24 points off of 13 Miami miscues.
  • The Cardinals bench scored 23 points compared to the Hurricane’s eight.

Player Notes:

  • Mike James scored a career-high 26 points, netting 8 of 12 from the floor with a 5 of 6 clip from beyond the arc. He added four boards, an assist, a block and a steal in his 39 minutes. o James scored 17 points in the first half, going 6 of 9 from the floor and 4 of 5 beyond the arc. He didn’t miss a field goal until 11:15, netting his first six shots.
  • Brandon Huntley-Hatfield logged a new career high with 22 points, making nine of his 13 attempts from the field. He pulled down nine boards, blocked two shots and grabbed a steal in 37 minutes.
  • Curtis Williams made three 3-pointers and scored 13 points. He dished out a career-high five assists against just a single turnover.
  • Kaleb Glenn played 19 minutes and recorded a new-career high of eight rebounds.
  • Skyy Clark filled his stat sheet with nine points, six boards, six assists and three steals in 37 minutes.
