How to Watch Louisville Cardinals vs. Kentucky Wildcats: Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Before the Louisville men's basketball program embarks on a nearly two-week long break for the holidays, the biggest game of the season in on tap, hosting arch-rival Kentucky for the annual Battle of the Bluegrass.

Despite numerous rumors swirling around the program regarding the potential immediate dismissal of head coach Kenny Payne, the Cardinals were able to focus in their last outing against Pepperdine, coming out on top with an 85-63 win. Not only did it snap a three-game losing streak, it marked the largest margin of victory for UofL in their two seasons under Payne.

As for the No. 14 Wildcats, so far, they have been able to bounce back from just their fifth double-digit loss season under head coach John Calipari. While they did fall at home against UNC Wilmington to kick off the month of December, they're coming off of an impressive 87-83 victory against No. 9 North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic, and rank as the No. 21 in the nation according to KenPom.

This will be the 56th all-time meeting between Louisville and Kentucky, with the Wildcats owning a 38-17 advantage in the series. The Cardinals have lost 12 times in the last 15 matchups, including an 86-63 beat down at the hands of UK in Rupp Arena last season.
