Watch: Kenny Payne, Louisville Seniors Preview Boston College

The Cardinals conclude the 2023-24 regular season with a rematch against the Eagles.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville men's basketball program isn't exactly ending their 2023-24 on a strong note.

Heading into their rematch with Boston College in what in their final game of the regular season, the Cardinals are riding a six-game losing streak, which is tied for their longest of the year. They have lost by an average margin of 18.0 points during this stretch, and most recently suffered an 80-64 beatdown at the hands of Virginia Tech.

"The first half of the Boston College game, we fought, we were the aggressors, we were more physical than them," head coach Kenny Payne said. "The second half, they attacked us, they were physical, and we shied away. We had unforced turnovers, the offense wasn't as crisp, we didn't get out and transition and get easy baskets the way we did in the first half. So we ended up playing on our heels, and they got momentum.

Prior to their matchup with BC, Louisville will honor three players for Senior Night: forward J.J. Traynor, guard/forward Zan Payne and guard Aidan McCool.

Prior to their rematch with the Eagles, Payne and Louisville's three seniors took time to meet with the media. They discussed the previous game vs. Virginia Tech, previewed the upcoming showdown vs. Boston College, and more.
