Watch: Danny Manning, Louisville Players Preview Syracuse
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - It's been an extremely rough stretch of basketball for the Louisville men's basketball program as of late.
The Cardinals have been blown out in each of their last four games, falling by an average margin of 21.5 points during this stretch. Their previous loss, an 84-59 loss at No. 10 Duke, secured back-to back 20-loss seasons for the first time in program history.
"I think there's some things we can do where we can execute a little bit better, but I think it's also part of the scouting report when teams have watched us," assistant coach Danny Manning said.
Heading into the home stretch of the 2023-24 college basketball season, Louisville will end the regular season with a three-game home stand, kicking it off with a rematch against Syracuse. The Cardinals fell 94-92 at the JMA Wireless Dome in their first matchup.
"We have to impose our will throughout the whole course of the ballgame," Manning said. "That's something that we talk about on a regular basis, and that's something that we've shown our guys in preparation for Syracuse."
Prior to their rematch with the Orange, Manning, guard Skyy Clark and forward Mike James took time to meet with the media. They discussed the previous game at Duke, previewed the upcoming showdown vs. Syracuse, and more.
