Louisville lands top junior-college recruit

Louisville men's basketball landed its first commitment for the 2020 recruiting class.

Jay Scrubb, the top-ranked junior-college basketball, announced his commitment on Instagram Sept. 28 after an official visit, which included Louisville Live, an annual event at Fourth Street Live! in downtown Louisville that introduces fans to the men's and women's basketball team for the upcoming season.

Scrubb, a 2018 graduate of Trinity (Louisville) High School, posted "I'm staying home" on Instagram.

The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 19.5 points and 8.6 rebounds at John A. Logan College last year. Scrubb was named a Juco All-American during his freshman season.
