Dez Fitzpatrick stayed patient despite not seeing the ball much in the first three games. His patience was rewarded against Florida State.

The junior receiver had seven receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown in Louisville football's loss to Florida State Sept. 21.

"I knew the opportunity was going to come, it was a matter knowing it was going to come," Fitzpatrick said. "If you have a bad attitude and a bad mindset, most of the time you don't make those plays."

Louisville offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford called Fitzpatrick a playmaker, but is most impressed with his work ethic and attitude.

"How many plays he is making without the ball in his hands, I think that's a great sign of a complete receiver," Ledford said.
