Game Day Live Blog: Louisville vs. Virginia | Game 10

The Cardinals conclude their home-stand with a short turnaround against the Cavaliers.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - With the Louisville football program inching closer to clinching berth in the ACC Championship, they'll conclude a three-game home stand with a short turnaround, hosting Virginia in their final home conference game of the season.

Like the week before against Duke, the Cardinals leaned on their ground game and defense to take down Virginia Tech, overcoming several injuries in the process. Isaac Guerendo ran for 146 yards and three touchdowns as part of a 231-yard effort on the ground by the Cardinals, while the Hokies were held to 140 total yards of offense and 68 yards rushing en route to a 34-3 blowout win.

As for the Cavaliers, while they had been playing much better football in the last few weeks, Virginia was flat out destroyed at home by Georgia Tech. UVa was out-gained 514-351 by the Yellow Jackets in their 45-17 loss, and turned the ball over three times in the process.
