The Cardinals conclude the 2023 season against the Trojans in the Holiday Bowl.

SAN DIEGO - After a few weeks to regroup following the end of the regular season, the Louisville football program will attempt to head into the offseason on a positive note, taking on USC in the Holiday Bowl.

The Cardinals have had a successful 2023 campaign under first year head coach Jeff Brohm, going 10-3 for their first ten-win season since 2013, as well as clinching their first ever berth in the ACC Championship Game. However, they head into the Holiday Bowl on a two-game skid, falling 38-31 to Kentucky in their regular season and 16-6 to Florida State in the ACC Championship Game.

As for the Trojans, they have even less momentum heading into the postseason. Year two of the Lincoln Riley era at USC saw them win their first six games of the season to be ranked as high as the No. 5 team in the AP Poll, but they dropped their five of their final six games of the season - including all four games against AP-ranked competition.
