How to Watch Louisville Cardinals vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time

The Cardinals kick off the 2023 season against the Yellow Jackets in the Aflac Kickoff Classic.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 2023 college football season is finally here. Louisville will kick off the season under the lights, traveling to the Peach State for a showdown with ACC foe Georgia Tech in the Aflac Kickoff Classic.

The Cardinals are coming off of a successful 8-5 campaign for their first winning season since 2019, and one that was their final year under head coach Scott Satterfield after he left for Cincinnati. While the Cardinals do lose some key pieces, new head coach Jeff Brohm has a talented roster to work with after retaining a multitude of playmakers and bringing in the No. 1 transfer portal class in college football.

As for the Yellow Jackets, they are also entering the season with a new head coach in Brent Key, although he was hired in a very different manner. Georgia Tech fired head coach Geoff Collins after a 1-3 start to the 2022, and Key - then the offensive line coach - was elevated to interim. He guided Tech to a 4-4 mark during this time, eventually landing the permanent job after the offseason.

This will be the third all-time meeting between Louisville and Georgia Tech, with the Yellow Jackets holding a 2-0 advantage in the series. These two teams last met on Oct. 9, 2020 at Bobby Dodd Stadium, with the Cardinals falling 46-27.
