Watch: Jeff Brohm, Louisville Players Talk Media Day
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Media Days are a sure sign that college football is just around the corner, and the Louisville football program held theirs on Tuesday.
Gathering in the Cardinal Stadium press box, head coach Jeff Brohm had the chance to talk with the local media regarding the upcoming 2023 season. Media Day also marked the start of the first fall camp under Brohm.
"We're definitely excited to kick off fall camp today," Brohm said. "I know our players have worked hard, and put in a lot of time and effort to get better and gel this thing together. We're excited to get practice one underway."
Several players were also made available for questions. Quarterback Jack Plummer, wide receiver Jamari Thrash and offensive tackle Renato Brown represented the offensive side of the ball; while safety M.J. Griffin, defensive end Stephen Herron and nose tackle Dezmond Tell represented the defense.
"You get to fall camp, and you sense that, 'Hey, we get a chance to come together as a team and build some relationships,' as well as, 'Hey, we got to get better as a team, and get prepared for that first game.' There's excitement in the air that football's back," Plummer said.
Louisville will kick off their season in exactly one month later down in Atlanta, Ga. against Georgia Tech on Friday, Sept. 1.
