Quarterbacks Micale Cunningham and Evan Conley had their best games in Louisville football’s victory over Boston College. Louisville coach Scott Satterfield said the two quarterbacks made good decisions in the Cardinals’ first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) win since 2017.

Cunningham completed 13 of 18 throws for 288 yards along with 43 rushing yards and a score.

“Malik played his best game, maybe his best game of his career,” Satterfield said. “He ran for some first downs, he ran for a touchdown, and then he made some great throws.”

Conley completed 10 of 16 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown, leading three scoring drives, including Louisville’s game-winning drive that ended with a 41-yard field goal from Blanton Creque with 1:02 left in the fourth quarter.

“Evan Conley played really good football and made some big time throws on third down scenarios,” Satterfield said.

Satterfield planned to use Conley in several drives against Boston College after Cunningham started, but the freshman led Louisville’s offense in the fourth quarter after Cunningham departed due to injury.

Cunningham practiced on Sunday and will have a full week of practice.
