College World Series Finals: Schedule, Start Times and TV Channels
The LSU Tigers and Florida Gators meet again in the College World Series Finals after the SEC powerhouses catapulted their way to a chance at winning the 2023 National Championship.
For LSU, it was a dogfight night in and night out. After claiming three straight victories, with two coming over Wake Forest, the Tigers are back in the CWS Finals for the first time since 2017.
When it comes to Florida, the Gators cruised to the championship series after hitting their stride in Omaha.
Both programs enter the final round clicking on all cylinders, and with two wins in their way of bringing a title back home, it's now or never.
It's been an exciting stretch for the Tigers so far. After defeating Tennessee in their opener last Saturday, it propelled Jay Johnson's squad to the winner's bracket, but after suffering a loss to Wake Forest on Monday, the real fun began.
With their backs against the wall, Nate Ackenhausen saved the Tigers season against Tennessee once again in an elimination game, defeating the Volunteers to keep LSU's College World Series hopes alive.
Ackenhausen was the hero on Tuesday and the Tigers pitching rotation carried their success into Wednesday's showdown once again.
Griffin Herring stepped on the mound for LSU and came up in a big way, lifting the Tigers over Wake Forest to force a Game 2 of the semifinals.
In Game 2 on Thursday, Paul Skenes did what he does best after pitching another gem for LSU. From there, it was the Tommy White show.
White blasted a two-run homer in the bottom of the 11th inning to propel the Tigers to the championship round, but now it's go time for this crew.
