LSU Baseball: Hayden Travinski Returning For 2024 Season

Travinski will continue his baseball career with the Tigers, returns for final season in Baton Rouge.

LSU catcher Hayden Travinski will return to Baton Rouge for another season as this program searches for back-to-back National Championships. A major piece to the Tigers title run, Travinski is running it back down South.

Travinski told The Advocate of his plans, and after going unselected in the 2023 MLB Draft, he’ll exercise his eligibility for another season with LSU.

A player with swagger and tenacity, it wasn’t easy for Travinski to get on the field this season, but after blooming late, the veteran shined towards the end of the year.

Travinski played in 41 games this season, hitting .356 with 10 homers and 30 RBIs in just 104 at-bats.

After freshman Brady Neal went down with injury, Travinski and Alex Milazzo shared catching duties for the National Champion LSU Tigers. Looking ahead, Milazzo will be recovering from a fractured shin he suffered during the College World Series Finals.

The return of Travinski is not only a big piece on the field, but his leadership abilities off the field will help a young LSU program in the locker room as they put their heads down in search of claiming another title in 2024.
