Decision Day: Top 50 Prospect Vyctorius Miller Revealing Decision

The prized LSU target will reveal a decision on Wednesday, Tigers heavily in the mix here.

LSU target Vyctorius Miller is set to reveal his college decision on Wednesday at 8pm CT with the Tigers heavily in the mix.

Miller will choose between LSU, Gonzaga, Oregon, USC and the G-League Ignite.

Wednesday is the final day of the Early Signing Period, and for head coach Matt McMahon and Co., to lock in a player of Miller's caliber would be a tremendous get for this program.

Sources familiar with the situation feel the Tigers sit in good position here for Miller's services with a decision coming before the signing period ending, but a late push from the Oregon Ducks remains of concern.

There was optimism surrounding Miller's status if he continued to drag out the process, but after a successful visit to Baton Rouge this fall, this program felt in solid position with a decision coming Wednesday night.

Now, as decision day goes on, Oregon is surging for the coveted point guard out of California.

The recruiting trail has treated McMahon's program well over the last few weeks with LSU receiving a pair of signatures during the Early Signing Period from the No. 2 player in Texas (Robert Miller III) and the No. 5 point guard in America (Curtis Givens).

More on the signings:

McMahon added Curtis Givens III from Montverde Academy in Florida for the 2024-25 season after having his letter-of-intent papers approved.

Givens III, 6-3, hails from Memphis Tennessee. The four-star recruit is ranked No. 33 by ON3 nationally and number four among point guards, while ESPN’s recruiting rankings has Givens III ranked at number 48.

“Curtis is a player we have recruited for a long time,” said Coach McMahon. “He is a versatile lead guard who can not only run your team, but he is also a proven scorer. I just love what he is about. He possesses a relentless work ethic, a competitive drive, and outstanding leadership qualities. Curtis is a consistent 3-point shooter, a creative playmaker, and a guard who makes great decisions on the court. Ultimately, I believe he makes everyone around him better and that is the best compliment you can give a player. We are excited for the opportunity to coach him at LSU.”

Givens III has had great success on the AAU and EYBL circuit, playing for Mokan Elite in Missouri. He had games of 18 points, 4 assists; 21 points; and, 23 points and 5 asts and in the Peach Jam had games of 16 points-4 assists and, 13 points-8 rebounds. In session one on the EYBL circuit, he averaged 18.8 points a contest.

He also was invited to the NBPA Top 100 camp for top high school prospects. The camp features some of the best high school basketball players from around the country and provides comprehensive on and off the court programming to maximize a player’s potential.

This marks the second signing of national signing day for the Tigers. LSU, earlier in the day, received papers from Robert Miller III of Houston, Texas a 6-11 forward who plays at Pasadena Memorial High School.

“We are thrilled to officially welcome Rob Miller and Curtis Givens to the LSU Basketball Family. We have really enjoyed building relationships with their families and we look forward to the impact both will make on our program,” said Coach McMahon.

Along with Givens, the Tigers received a signature from the No. 9 power forward in America, Robert Miller III:

Miller, 6-11, from Pasadena Memorial High School, is a 4-star recruit, ranked No. 40 by On3 and No. 49 nationally by 247sports and the No. 2 recruit in the state of Texas.

“Rob has grown up loving LSU and he will take great pride in wearing the purple and gold,” said Coach McMahon. “He is incredibly talented and possesses a unique skill set at 6-11. His versatility on the perimeter really stands out with his ability to handle the basketball and attack the basket off the dribble. He shoots it well from behind the 3-point arc as well. On the defensive side of the ball, Rob provides shot blocking and rim protection with his athleticism and 7-4 wingspan. He has a very high ceiling, and we cannot wait to coach him at LSU.”

Miller is the son of former LSU football defensive lineman Robert Miller II. His mother Teana (McKiver) Miller played basketball for Tulane and in the WNBA.

As a junior at Pasadena Memorial, Miller III averaged 19.7 points, 13.4 rebounds and 5.4 blocks per game.

This past summer, Miller III was invited to the 2023 NBPA Top 100 Camp at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. The camp features some of the best high school basketball players from around the country and provides comprehensive on and off the court programming to maximize a player’s potential.

He also attended the Pangos All-American Camp in both 2022 and 2023.
