LSU Adds UCLA's Skyy Clark From Transfer Portal But Questions Still Remain

The LSU Tigers men's basketball roster still faces major questions ahead of the program's second stint with Will Wade.

The LSU Tigers men's basketball team has landed another commitment out of the transfer portal this offseason.

LSU is adding UCLA transfer guard Skyy Clark, who is choosing to join head coach Will Wade after two years with the Bruins, per reports from On3.

However, like many players that have committed to LSU this offseason, Clark's eligibility for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign faces uncertainty.

Skyy Clark Still Needs Waiver to Play at LSU Next Season

Clark is still seeking a waiver to play a fifth year next season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. He entered the portal in April after completing his fourth year of college basketball.

Clark started off at Illinois before leaving the program in the middle of the 2022-23 season. After that, he spent two years at Louisville before heading to UCLA last offseason.

LSU's roster only lists four available players, all of whom transferred in this offseason: Divine Ugochukwu (Michigan State), Abdi Bashir Jr. (Kansas State), Austin Nunez (UTSA) and Mouhamed Dioubate (Kentucky). While most teams around the country already field a complete roster as fall practices begin, the Tigers don't even have an official starting lineup as thing stands.

Along with Clark, the Tigers are still awaiting decisions on eligibility rulings for the following players:

- Brice Dessert

- Marcio Santos

- RJ Luis

- Michael Ruzic

- Saliou Niang

Clark has appeared in 102 career games (97 starts) while averaging 10.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
