The first rankings for the College Football Playoff were released Tuesday evening, with the Tigers being selected as the No. 2 seed by the committee.

Rounding out the top-four was Ohio State at No. 1, Alabama at No. 3 and Penn State at No. 4. The College Football Playoff rankings will be released every Tuesday night until the end of the season, dictating which four teams will be playing for a National Championship in January.

The rankings will surely change after this week’s game between the No. 2 Tigers and No. 3 Crimson Tide as the winner will remain at the top while the loser will likely slip out.

Teams ranked just outside the top-four include Clemson and Georgia, ranked five and six respectively.

Florida and Auburn rounded out SEC teams ranked in the top-25, coming in at No. 10 and No. 11.

LSU is set to face off against Alabama at 2:30 p.m. on CBS.
