Pregame Festivities: LSU Basketball Puts on a Show and Video Pregame Warmups

Good look at LSU basketball Saturday morning

Before No. 2 LSU took the field against Auburn Saturday, another Tiger team was out showcasing in front of the LSU faithful. Will Wade and the basketball team gave a short tease of what to expect from LSU basketball this season.

The Tigers were without their backcourt Saturday as point guard Javonte Smart was dealing with a minor injury and senior guard Skylar Mays was tending to a "family matter" Wade said.

Because they were light on bodies, the Tigers did mostly three-on-three and four-on-four drills but we did get to see Emmitt Williams display his retooled jumps shot.

Saturday also presented the opportunity to see some of the new faces on the basketball team as newcomers Trendon Watford (No. 2) and Charles Manning (No. 11) showed a little of what's to come this season.

One of the surprises of the day was freshman Aundre Hyatt, who red-shirted in the 2018 campaign. Hyatt was battling an injury when practice began and Wade wasn't sure if he'd be ready for the season.

The freshman practiced Saturday and looked solid, displaying a polished jumper that is sure to help the team this season.

The afternoon ended with the team receiving their rings for winning the SEC during the 2018-19 season.

On the football field: Pregame Notes

Back to the ever-important football game, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was seen getting in some reps with his receivers during pregame warmups.

Terrace Marshall, as expected, also went through warmups and looks to be at full strength as kickoff approaches.

Saahdiq Charles takes the reps at first team left tackle. Looks like he'll make his fourth start of the season.
