LSU Football: No. 1 Athlete in America Visiting Baton Rouge

The Tigers will get another crack at Texas A&M commit Terry Bussey, visiting this weekend.
In this story:

Texas native Terry Bussey will make his way to Baton Rouge this weekend for a visit with Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers.

The No. 1 athlete in America will make his third trip to campus after taking an official visit in September, an unofficial visit in October and now his third trip in as many months on Saturday.

Bussey, a Texas A&M commit, has been on "flip watch" over the last few weeks, and now making a return trip to Death Valley, it's clear there is mutual interest between both parties.

*As it stands right now, Bussey will look to make his way to campus once again, but plans could change sooner rather than later, sources tell LSU Country, halting him from being in Baton Rouge on Saturday.

For the Tigers, they've already successfully flipped an A&M commit in five-star offensive lineman Weston Davis.

Davis, one of the top rated linemen in America, revealed his pledge to offensive line coach Brad Davis and Co. last month after the coaching staff made a surprise in-home visit.

Now, there are three more targets on the Tigers' radar. The common denominator? They all are/were committed to Jimbo Fisher's Aggies.

With Fisher out of the picture now in College Station, it's full steam ahead for Kelly and the Bayou Bengals to sway them down South.

The three targets LSU is pursuing:

- Terry Bussey (No. 1 Athlete in America)

- Dre'lon Miller (Four-star WR)

- Gabriel Reliford (Four-star DL)

LSU has been in the ear of Miller for quite some time. The coveted wideout backed off of his pledge to the Aggies after a return visit to Baton Rouge last month, but now after keeping his options open for weeks, we could see the prized wide receiver commit to Texas A&M once again. A few schools continue pursuing the four-star wideout with what appears to be an LSU vs. Texas A&M battle.

For Reliford, he's a top priority in the Tigers' 2024 class. A Top 10 player in Louisiana, LSU has had their eyes on him for months with this program looking to get him back to Baton Rouge alongside Bussey this weekend.

With just weeks until the Early Signing Period, the Bayou Bengals are turning up the heat on their 2024 targets and Bussey, Reliford and Miller are at the top of their list.

Now, Bussey is set to make a return trip to Death Valley this weekend with the Tigers once again laying out the red carpet for the top athlete in America.

As it stands, the LSU football coaching staff is looking to get Reliford to town for another visit on Saturday, but it remains a work in progress with no official word just yet. LSU Country will have you updated on his status over the next two days.
