Brian Kelly and Co. are surging on the recruiting trail after landing a commitment from Top 100 2024 prospect CJ Jackson.

The Top 10 EDGE in America revealed his pledge to LSU Sunday morning after a successful visit to Baton Rouge.

The Georgia native reopened his recruitment last weekend after backing off of his commitment to the hometown Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with Tigers now successfully flipping the priority target.

LSU remained in contact with Jackson during the time he was committed to Georgia Tech with this coaching staff pushing for his services.

The four-star defensive lineman has taken three trips down South with his most recent one this weekend.

The 6-foot-5, 225 pounder out of Tucker (Ga.) now becomes one of the top prospects in LSU's 2024 class.

The feeling was mutual between Jackson and LSU. After backing off of his pledge last week, he quickly scheduled a visit to Baton Rouge for a game day experience.

Rather than pressing the restart button during the recruitment process, the elite edge rusher had familiarity with the LSU program. Now, Kelly and his staff have flipped the dynamic edge rusher.

The Top 10 edge rusher in America getting back to Death Valley was huge for this program as it continued its pursuit. After a big-time 24 hour stretch, LSU pulled off a commitment with the recruiting scene heating up for the Tigers.
