LSU Football: Tigers Hosting No. 3 Cornerback in America for Visit
The LSU football staff is prepared for a busy weekend on the recruiting trail as the program dials in for their first "Junior Day" of the offseason.
The Bayou Bengals will have a myriad of prospects in town, including the No. 3 cornerback in America, Jaboree Antoine.
The No. 2 ranked player in Louisiana will make his way to Baton Rouge for an unofficial visit alongside several of his peers in the 2025 class.
Antoine, one of the top rated defensive backs in the cycle, remains a major priority for the Tigers.
After hiring Louisiana legend Corey Raymond as the cornerbacks coach, LSU has ramped up its recruitment for Antoine in a major way.
Now, an unofficial visit is lined up for Saturday in Death Valley.
It'll be a monstrous day for this program with several of the top rated prospects in both the 2025 and 2026 classes making their way to town.
For Antoine, it's clear the Tigers will roll out the red carpet as they battle for his services.
Those familiar with the recruitment of the four-star cornerback believe this will come down to an LSU vs. Texas battle.
Last weekend, Antoine took a visit to Austin (Tex.) for an unofficial with with Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns. Just a week later, he will now take a trip down to Baton Rouge.
The Westgate (La.) star isn't looking to shut down his process at this moment, but a decision could come near or around the summer.
Antoine resides in New Iberia, La. with a major connection coming into play. Raymond, the Tigers' freshly hired cornerbacks coach, is from the New Iberia area as well.
With Raymond back in the mix, it'll certainly help the Tigers' chances at securing the coveted cornerback.
The top-ranked Bayou State defensive back will make his way to Baton Rouge this weekend as the Tigers prepare to turn up the heat for his services with Raymond leading the charge in his recruitment.
LSU Country will have the latest on LSU's "Junior Day" this weekend.
