LSU Football: Tigers Hosting No. 5 WR In America For Visit
The LSU football staff continues working behind the scenes on the recruiting trail as they prepare for a busy visit schedule this spring.
The weekend of March 8th is shaping up to be an important weekend for this program. LSU will host a number of the top prospects in both the 2025 and 2026 cycles.
On March 8th and 9th, Brian Kelly and Co. will bring in several coveted targets with a pair of priority wide receivers locking in their trip.
Caleb Cunningham, the No. 2 wideout in America, has solidified his plans of making a trip to Baton Rouge, sources tell LSU Country.
The five-star Mississippi native will be joined by a handful of the top recruits in the nation as he makes his return trip to The Boot.
Cunningham took in a game day experience last fall, and after a positive visit, he's now set to make another this spring.
LSU begins spring football on March 5 with this program using to their advantage on the recruiting trail.
Cunningham won't be the only coveted wide receiver in town next weekend.
LSU will also host Jamie Ffrench, the No. 5 wideout in America for a trip down South.
Ffrench, a former Alabama commitment, has reopened his recruitment and is seeking out other programs as he locks in on a decision.
The Florida native has been on Cortez Hankton's radar, and after visiting in-person last month, he will not get Ffrench to Death Valley on March 8-9.
It'll be a monster weekend for the LSU staff with both Cunningham and Ffrench in town.
This spring will be important for the Tigers when it come to the future of the wide receiver position.
The Bayou Bengals will also host the No. 3 wideout in America: Kaliq Lockett.
Lockett will be in town for the Spring Game the weekend of April 12 as LSU turns up the heat for his services.
As it stands, the Tigers have made an impact in his recruitment, getting a huge unofficial visit in April.
Wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton currently holds a commitment from the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2025 class, Dakorien Moore, but hasn't stopped his push for America's best.
The Bayou Bengals will be fending off the Texas Longhorns and Oregon Ducks for Moore's services down the stretch, but his pledge thus far is a major boost for LSU.
Moore, Cunningham and Lockett, the top three receivers in the country, all have LSU on their radar as they prepare to navigate an official visit schedule this summer and fall. Not to mention Ffrench also in the mix.
When it comes to the 2025 cycle, LSU holds the No. 1 class in America headlined by a trio of top players at their positions.
