LSU Football: Tigers Land Commitment From Coveted WR TaRon Francis

Brian Kelly and Co. reel in a commitment from the Louisiana native, 2025 four-star prospect.

LSU won both on and off the field Saturday night. After defeating Auburn, the Tigers carried their momentum on to the recruiting trail, landing a commitment from coveted Louisiana wide receiver TaRon Francis.

The New Orleans (La.) talent is the first to pop after a monstrous recruiting weekend for Brian Kelly and the Tigers.

Francis joins Duncanville (Tex.) wideout Dakorien Moore as the pair of receivers in the 2025 class. LSU now has five pledges in the cycle.

The 6-foot, 200-pounder quickly became a priority for the Tigers, and after a productive visit to Baton Rouge, Francis shut down the process instantly.

LSU was first to offer Francis before his recruitment process blew up. Shortly after, Mississippi State, Florida State, Troy, Ole Miss, Michigan, Texas A&M, Florida A&M and Marshall got in on the action.

Now that Francis is on board, LSU moves up to No. 4 in the 2025 recruiting rankings, according to On3's team rankings.

Francis joins five-star receiver Dakorien Moore, tight end John David LaFleur, offensive tackle Brett Bordelon and cornerback Jaylen Bell as the commitments in the 2025 class to this point.
