LSU Football: Tigers Offer No. 1 JUCO DL Jaden Hamlin

Brian Kelly continues looking to add beef up front, offers top defensive lineman in JUCO ball.

Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers continue looking to add defensive linemen to the 2024 cycle with this program diving into the JUCO ranks as well.

Over the last week, LSU has dished out three offers to JUCO guys with the latest going to the No. 1 defensive lineman: Jaden Hamlin.

Hamlin, who plays his ball at Southwest Mississippi Community College, has been a hot commodity on the recruiting trail as of late. 

The elite-level pass rusher has reeled in offers from LSU, Georgia and Miami, among several others on his way to a big season in Mississippi. 

The Tigers are the latest program to get in on the action as LSU looks to add some beef to its defensive line for the future. 

Hamlin, a 6-foot-3, 305 pound monster, will be back at the Power Five level come next season with the chance to be a force sooner rather than later.

Kelly and Co. have turned up the heat in a big way on the recruiting trail, specifically on defense in the 2024 cycle. The Bayou Bengals landed a commitment from Top 100 prospect CJ Jackson on Sunday after a productive visit to Baton Rouge. 

The Top 10 EDGE in America shut down his process Saturday night before making his announcement Sunday morning. 

The Georgia native reopened his recruitment last weekend after backing off of his commitment to the hometown Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with Tigers now successfully flipping the priority target.

The 6-foot-5, 225 pounder out of Tucker (Ga.) now becomes one of the top prospects in LSU's 2024 class.

The feeling was mutual between Jackson and LSU. After backing off of his pledge last week, he quickly scheduled a visit to Baton Rouge for a game day experience.

Rather than pressing the restart button during the recruitment process, the elite edge rusher had familiarity with the LSU program. Now, Kelly and his staff have flipped the dynamic edge rusher.
