LSU Football's 2025 Quarterback Big Board: The Targets

The Tigers are monitoring several rising juniors, dished out three offers recently.
In this story:

Brian Kelly and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan have worked side-by-side ever since the two made their way to Baton Rouge. The duo has hit the recruiting trail with force to ensure this program has its fair share of signal-callers for the future.

LSU brought in Walker Howard in their 2022 class, and despite the Louisiana native electing to take his talents elsewhere after just one season in Death Valley, it proved the recruiting capabilities the Kelly-Sloan connection would have.

Fast forward to the 2023 class and this coaching staff flipped then Purdue commitment Rickie Collins to LSU. It took time, but this program ultimately got it done.

Now looking ahead to the future of the quarterback position for the purple and gold, it’s a star-studded list of prospects this staff is pushing for.

LSU has its signal-caller in the 2024 class with four-star Colin Hurley locked in with the Tigers. He’s voiced his love for Baton Rouge, Brian Kelly and the entire LSU culture, and looks ready to make his way to Death Valley.

But recruiting is a long-term game. With the 2024 class secured, this program is looking ahead to the future, and that means the 2025 class is beginning to get looks.

LSU has offered three quarterbacks in the 2025 class with a few other guys on their radar.

Here’s a look into the trio of quarterbacks the Tigers have offered and who else is on their 2025 Quarterback Big Board:

George MacIntyre - Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy

MacIntyre is a 4-star, Top 60 prospect in the 2025 class with an offer list growing at a rapid pace as of late. The No. 1 player in Tennessee already boasts an offer sheet of over 17 programs with LSU being the latest to offer.

At 6-foot-5, 185 pounds, MacIntyre is your prototypical signal-caller in the SEC and has seen his game evolve significantly after a standout sophomore campaign. A slender frame, developing size will clearly be of the utmost importance, but from a fundamentals standpoint, the youngster showed it all in his first year starting on varsity.

MacIntyre is also a standout on the hardwood with Power Five interest in basketball. A dual-sport athlete, it shows in his footwork when in the pocket. Look for his steady rise to continue as he enters his junior season next fall with LSU beginning to get their foot in the door early.

Bryce Underwood - Belleville High School (Michigan)

The No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class, it’s for good reason. The youngster has proven just how dominant he can be in the high school game after lighting it up during both his freshman and sophomore campaigns.

As a freshman, Underwood threw for 2,888 yards, 39 TDs, and four INTs, adding six rushing TDs. In addition to a dominant stat sheet, he also led Belleville to a 13-1 record and the Michigan Division I state championship.

The Tigers are one of 30 schools to offer Underwood as his recruitment explodes before what many expect to be an eye-opening junior season. With a developed frame, standing at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds Underwood is already looking physically prepared for the next level.

Tavien St. Clair - Bellefontaine High School (Ohio)

St. Clair is in the midst of a monstrous offseason ahead of his junior campaign. He’s stacked offers from Ohio State, LSU and Alabama, among others as his meteoric rise continues this summer.

For LSU quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan, he’s made sure to get in on the action sooner rather than later. After a visit to Baton Rouge over the weekend, Sloan and the Tigers coaching staff made sure to extend a scholarship his way.

Within the same hour, Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees called up St. Clair and offer him to get in on the action.

Husan Longstreet - Centennial High School (California)

Longstreet quietly made his way to Baton Rouge over the weekend alongside MacIntyre and St. Clair. A player without an LSU offer just yet, it could come sooner rather than later as the quarterback dominos begin to fall in the 2025 class.

A 6-foot-2, 185-pounder, Longstreet attains adequate size and strength for a signal-caller heading into his junior year. An offer list that boasts several PAC-12 programs, SEC schools have started taking notice as he enters a big-time offseason.

Joe Sloan and the Tigers have been made aware of Longstreet, and after a visit to Death Valley, they’ll continue developing a connection moving forward.
