Kelly and Co. picked up a pair of 2024 pledges in three days, looking to carry momentum.

Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers have seen movement in the 2024 class after a few additions and departures over the last few weeks.

This program is looking to fill positions of need, specifically at cornerback and defensive line, with the Bayou Bengals making moves in October.

Three commitments in 10 days, a pair of pledges backing off of their commitments and reinforcements on the way.

A dive into the recent moves made in the 2024 class with a trio of prospects committing and three players the Tigers are looking to flip.

The Recent Additions: Bernard Causey, PJ Woodland and CJ Jackson

Bernard Causey... Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers successfully flipped former Ole Miss pledge Bernard Causey after the Louisiana native revealed his commitment to LSU on Tuesday. The Bayou Bengals fill a position of need in Causey, and after a monster push for the coveted cornerback, he's made his decision. He's a Tiger.

The 6-foot, 160 pounder of out New Orleans, La. reopened his recruitment on Monday night after remaining committed to the Ole Miss Rebels since June.

Kelly and his recruiting staff made a push over the last few weeks for Causey. After losing a commitment from four-star cornerback Ondre Evans last week, LSU has made sure to do its work in order to land reinforcements. Insert Causey.

PJ Woodland... The Mississippi native backed off of his pledge to Mississippi State earlier this month and wasted no time in revealing his commitment to the Tigers on Sunday. A player who was trending towards the Ole Miss Rebels, LSU once again got him back down to campus with this program ultimately sealing the deal for the coveted cornerback.

Woodland was in Baton Rouge for the Tigers’ victory over Auburn last weekend before making the trek back to Louisiana for the Week 8 contest against Army. After a week on the market, LSU made sure to close the prized talent and lock him in with the Tigers.

The 6-foot, 160-pounder fills a void in this LSU defense for the future with those within the program intrigued with his long-term potential. Woodland is in the midst of an impressive senior campaign with his Oak Grove program handling business.

CJ Jackson... The Top 10 EDGE in America revealed his pledge to LSU in mid October after a successful visit to Baton Rouge. The Georgia native reopened his recruitment after backing off of his commitment to the hometown Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with the Tigers successfully flipping the priority target.

LSU remained in contact with Jackson during the time he was committed to Georgia Tech with this coaching staff pushing for his services. The 6-foot-5, 225 pounder out of Tucker (Ga.) now becomes one of the top prospects in LSU's 2024 class.

The Flip Targets: Trouble in College Station?

LSU took a stride in the right direction this month after bringing in a trio of Texas A&M commitments to Baton Rouge. LSU hosted five-star ATH Terry Bussey, four-star wide receiver Dre’lon Miller and four-star defensive lineman Gabriel Reliford.

Shortly after the visit, one domino fell when Miller announced he would be reopening his recruitment. The job isn’t finished, but with the four-star wideout opening things back up, the Bayou Bengals are trending.

Dre'lon Miller... The four-star wide receiver backed off of his commitment to Texas A&M last Tuesday following a visit to Baton Rouge the weekend before. Miller, who has several potential suitors, has been wined and dined by LSU on several occasions with the Tigers trending for the electrifying wideout. The star receiver dominated in his junior campaign. He tallied 1,399 yards of total offense, 21 touchdown catches, 361 yards rushing while also impacting the game on special teams. Now, he’s back on the market with LSU surging for his services. The Tigers lost a commitment from three-star wide receiver Joseph Stone last week as the Bayou Bengals shift focus to Miller to fill the void. A name to keep tabs on.

Terry Bussey... Bussey returned to Baton Rouge once again this month after taking an official to LSU when the Tigers faced off against Arkansas in September. Shortly after his visit, he revealed his commitment to Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M. Now, it’s clear there’s mutual interest between LSU and Bussey after a return trip to Death Valley, but he remains locked in with the Aggies. It'll be a challenge to flip Bussey from A&M, but there have been rumblings of uncertainty surrounding his pledge. With mutual interest between both parties (LSU and Bussey’s camp), he remains a name to monitor as Texas A&M’s struggles continue.

Gabriel Reliford... The Louisiana native made the trip down to Baton Rouge for a second game day experience when he arrived in Week 7. Reliford has been pledged to Texas A&M for a while but it hasn’t stopped Kelly and Co. from pushing for his services. He’s visited campus on several occasions as this staff continues a full-court press to flip the current Aggie pledge. Look for Reliford to return before the season ends as the LSU staff locks in on adding another defensive lineman to the 2024 class. Again, Reliford will be a challenge to flip.
