Nine LSU Football Players Invited to 2023 NFL Combine
The NFL Combine is vastly approaching where LSU will be represented by nine former Tigers. As preparation continues for the most important job interview of their lives that will take place Feb. 28-Mar. 6, there are a number of players who could hear their names called.
Headlined by star wide receiver Kayshon Boutte and EDGE BJ Ojulari, the pair of Bayou Bengals have the chance to be selected in the first two rounds, but for the other Tigers, the combine will be a chance to showcase their game to scouts and boost their draft stock.
Here’s who received invites to the NFL Combine:
Kayshon Boutte - Wide Receiver
BJ Ojulari - EDGE
Ali Gaye - Defensive End
Jaquelin Roy - Defensive Line
Micah Baskerville - Linebacker
Mekhi Garner - Defensive Back
Jaray Jenkins - Wide Receiver
Jay Ward - Defensive Back
Anthony Bradford - Offensive Line
For Gaye, the efficient pass rusher is fresh off of a solid showing at the Senior Bowl. A career in Baton Rouge that saw the highs and lows of what college football has to offer, he’s seen it all.
“It’s been a great week,” Gaye said during Senior Bowl preparation. “I’ve used this week to build relationships with the NFL scouts and personnel who are here. It’s given me an opportunity to show the scouts who I am as a player and as a person and for them to learn my story.”
LSU will be well represented once again later this month in the NFL Combine with a number of guys looking to show out in front of all 32 NFL teams. With all nine guys capable of being drafted, it’ll be interesting to see how the combine boosts their overall stock ahead of April’s 2023 NFL Draft.
