Recruits React: Prospects Rave About Their Time Visiting LSU
The start of June means the start of both official and unofficial visits beginning in Baton Rouge for Brian Kelly and his coaching staff. This weekend, the Tigers brought in a number of the top prospects in America for some time on campus.
From a pair of Alabama commitments to the No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 cycle, it was a busy weekend for this LSU staff.
The prospects took to social media to rave about their time in Death Valley. We saw recruits take their late-night pictures in Tiger Stadium, flaunt their photos in LSU uniforms and more.
Here are a few recruit reactions from this weekend:
Jeremiah McClellan - 2024 Wide Receiver
Four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan officially visited LSU on June 2 as he makes his way across the country to check out a few schools. One of the top wideouts in the nation, McClellan will also visit Ohio State (June 9), Tennessee (June 16) and Oregon (June 23).
It’ll be a tour for McClellan who has seen his rise up the recruiting rankings skyrocket over the last few months.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Missouri native has heard from schools all over the country with Ohio State being the program to beat at the moment. With his first official visit of the summer complete down South with the Tigers, Brian Kelly and Co. received their chance to make an early impression on the rising prospect.
Sterling Dixon - 2024 Linebacker
Dixon, an Alabama native, has envisioned himself suiting up for the Crimson Tide his entire life, which led to the dynamic prospect committing to Alabama in December. When he announced his pledge, the Tigers turned up the heat even more.
LSU remains in the ear of Dixon with a few months remaining until National Signing Day. A player who will certainly enroll early, LSU has a handful of months to go in their pursuit of flipping the coveted linebacker.
After another productive visit in the Bayou State, LSU certainly made an impression, but time will tell if the Tigers can stand out even more over the next few months. Another school to monitor will be Auburn.
Ryan Williams - 2025 Wide Receiver
Williams, a Top 5 prospect in the 2025 class, committed to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide back in October. As just a sophomore, he shut the process down and revealed his pledge, but it hasn’t stopped programs for pushing for the dynamic athlete.
Cortez Hankton and the Tigers extended an offer to Williams in May, and less than one month after sending one his way, LSU got him on campus. He’s become one of the most coveted players in the 2025 class after bolstering his status to No. 3 overall.
The Tigers are pursuing playmakers in the cycle, and with a significant amount of time until Williams puts pen to paper, LSU will be making a big-time push for one of the top prospects in America.
George McIntyre - 2025 Quarterback
MacIntyre is a 4-star, Top 60 prospect in the 2025 class with an offer list growing at a rapid pace as of late. The No. 1 player in Tennessee already boasts an offer sheet of over 17 programs with LSU being the latest to offer.
At 6-foot-5, 185 pounds, MacIntyre is your prototypical signal-caller in the SEC and has seen his game evolve significantly after a standout sophomore campaign. A slender frame, developing size will clearly be of the utmost importance, but from a fundamentals standpoint, the youngster showed it all in his first year starting on varsity.
MacIntyre is also a standout on the hardwood with Power Five interest in basketball. A dual-sport athlete, it shows in his footwork when in the pocket. Look for his steady rise to continue as he enters his junior season next fall with LSU beginning to get their foot in the door early.
