The Bayou Bengals added a commitment following Junior Day, but could more be on the way?
In this story:

The LSU football staff is fresh off of a huge weekend on the recruiting trail after hosting over 50 prospects to Baton Rouge on Friday and Saturday.

The Tigers held their Junior Day event with America's top prospects making their way to The Boot to check out the scenes of Death Valley.

From Bryce Underwood to Dakorien Moore to Jonah Williams, the Bayou Bengals had the nation's best in town as they continue looking to bolster their 2025 class.

The buzz on the newest LSU pledge and a few intriguing visitors who made their way to town:

The Commitment: 4-star Linebacker Charles Ross

Brian Kelly and the LSU football staff secured a commitment from four-star linebacker Charles Ross on Saturday night, he announced via social media.

The Texas native joins the Tigers' No. 1 recruiting class in America after a successful visit to LSU over the weekend.

LSU defensive coordinator Blake Baker prioritized Ross after offering him this year, and after Baker continued to press for his services, he popped early.

As a junior for North Shore High School in 2023, Ross tallied 71 tackles to go along with six sacks, two pass breakups, two interceptions and also a pick-six.

Earlier this month on the track, the coveted linebacker logged a personal-best 10.63 in the 100-meter dash.

Now, he joins the top recruiting class in the 2025 cycle headlined by Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall player in the class.

At the linebacker position, Ross and Keylan Moses sit as the two commitments to this point as Baker looks to continue stacking talent at all levels of defene.

The Intriguing Visitor: Jonah Williams

Brian Kelly and Co. brought in Jonah Williams, the No. 1 linebacker in America, for a visit to Baton Rouge on Saturday.

Williams became the fifth No. 1 player at his position to make his way to Baton Rouge over the 48 hour stretch:

- Bryce Underwood: No. 1 Quarterback

- Harlem Berry: No. 1 Running Back

- Dakorien Moore: No. 1 Wide Receiver

- DJ Pickett: No. 1 Cornerback

- Jonah Williams: No. 1 Linebacker

The five-star prospects are at the top of the Tigers' Big Board with LSU already holding commitments from Underwood, Berry and Moore.

Now, Williams got a glimpse into what LSU is all about during his visit down South with the Tigers getting a crack at the elite recruit.

Williams, a talented baseball player as well, checked out both the football and baseball facilities during his time down South.

Prospects began making their way to Baton Rouge on Friday before Saturday's event. The weekend's Junior Day event gave recruits the chance to take in a spring football practice and check out what the program is all about.

DJ Pickett: No. 1 Cornerback in America

The No. 1 safety in the 2025 cycle made his way to "The Boot" to check out the scenes of Death Valley last month and has now made a return trip to LSU.

After getting a glimpse of what the purple and gold are all about during his first trip, Pickett has locked in another visit on March 8.

The top defensive back on Corey Raymond's Big Board was in town with this program getting another crack at the coveted target.

Pickett, who's cruised up the recruiting rankings over the last few months, is focused on: LSU, Georgia, Miami, Florida, Florida State and Oregon.

Now, he's locked in an unofficial visit schedule for the spring with LSU getting the first look over the weekend.

What's Next?

Pickett's Summer Official Visit Schedule:

LSU: June 1

Georgia: June 7

Miami: June 14

Oregon: June 21

The Buzz: LSU made significant movement in Pickett's recruitment with the first visit going "very well," sources tell LSU Country.

The Tigers believe they are certainly near the top of his list, if not at the top after a successful first visit to Baton Rouge with the second visit cementing that.

Bryce Underwood: No. 1 Quarterback in America

The LSU football staff sent shockwaves across the country after reeling in a commitment from the No. 1 player in America, Bryce Underwood, in January.

From there, the Tigers continued building up an impressive 2025 class with Underwood being the headliner.

Brian Kelly and Co. are turning up the heat for the top player in America despite a pledge after traveling up to Michigan twice since he revealed his pledge to LSU.

Now, the Bayou Bengals have gotten the top player in the country back down to The Boot for a return trip to campus.

Underwood, the No. 1 quarterback in America, was in Baton Rouge from Thursday afternoon to Saturday, sources confirm to LSU Country.

It became a monstrous weekend for this program with several blue-chip targets and commitments making their way to town.

Underwood was in town alongside several wide receivers this program is putting their foot on the gas for, including five-star Mississippi native Caleb Cunningham.

On March 8th and 9th, LSU brought in several coveted targets with one priority wide receiver standing out.

Caleb Cunningham, the No. 2 wideout in America also made his way to The Boot.

The five-star Mississippi native was joined by five-star Jamie Ffrench and others with Underwood making sure to get face time with the prized prospects.
