When the first "College Football Playoff" rankings are released on Nov. 5, expect LSU to be one of the first names called.

The Tigers, according to BetOnline, are predicted to be the No. 1 seed for the first rankings list, with Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson following suit.

The College Football Playoff rankings are the most important as it decides which four teams will be playing for the National Championship in January. Of course, a much clearer picture will be painted after this weekend's showdown with No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama as the winner is likely to be in, barring an upset down the road.

The loser on the other hand, will have a much tougher road to make it as one of the final four teams, though not impossible. In fact, the loser, according to BetOnline, has -300 odds to make it to the College Football Playoff.

As far as Saturday's game is concerned, the Tigers are six point underdogs on the road to Tuscaloosa, a slight improvement over the eight point spread that opened a week ago Monday.
