LSU Football: No. 1 Cornerback in America Visiting Baton Rouge

The Bayou Bengals receive a visit from DJ Pickett, the top defensive back in the 2025 cycle.

The LSU football staff is in the midst of one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the year with five-star prospects flocking to Baton Rouge for the Spring Game.

Brian Kelly and Co. received visits from four five-star prospects, including the No. 1 cornerback in America: DJ Pickett.

Pickett, who's down in Death Valley for his third visit in as many months, has been wined and dined by cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond since January. Once Raymond accepted the LSU job, he immediately put a full-court press on Pickett.

Now, Pickett is back in Baton Rouge on Saturday. The coveted corner has made his return trip to The Boot before he takes his official visit from May 31-June 2.

Sources indicate their push for Pickett is strong and many feel this could come down to an LSU vs. Miami battle down the stretch.

For Pickett, it's important to note his cousin committed to Miami last year and he's a Sunshine State product, but for now, LSU is making a serious push for his services.

The No. 1 cornerback is alongside several elite-level prospects in Baton Rouge this weekend, specifically Bryce Underwood and Harlem Berry. Both recruits are rated No. 1 at their position and are pledged to Kelly's program.

Another major target on campus this weekend is five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, the No. 2 wideout in America. He's developing a relationship with Pickett where the two will take their officials on the same weekend of May 31.

The Tigers boast the No. 2 recruiting class in the 2025 cycle headlined by a trio of five-star prospects in Underwood, Berry and Dakorien Moore. As the months go on, this program is set to add several coveted targets with a program-changing class coming together in the Bayou State.
