VIDEO: LSU QB Jayden Daniels Discusses 'Different Mindset'

Daniels and the Tigers prepared to move on after "eye-opening" Week 1 loss, face Grambling on Saturday.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels admits this program was humbled against Florida State in the Tigers' Week 1 loss, but moving forward, there's a different mindset within this group.

With Week 1 behind them, the Tigers look ahead at what's to come. It isn't unfamiliar territory and LSU knows what must be done in order to reach the level of success that is expected of them.

This program will go as far as Daniels takes them, and for Brian Kelly, he knows his signal-caller can reach a different gear. 

“I think he needs to be a little bit smarter in the things that he does. We don’t want him to be anybody else but Jayden,” Kelly said on Thursday. “I think he can be a bit more prudent in the decisions that he makes, but he has always run that way. We aren’t going to change him too much, but trying to jump over the pile we could tamp that down a little bit.”
