It was a good showing for the Tigers in the weekly SEC performance awards. In addition to Joe Burrow being named Offensive Player of the week, freshman kicker Cade York was awarded Special Teams Player of the week.

York went 3-for-3 on field goals in the Tigers 45-38 win over Texas, including kicks of 33, 36 and 40 yards.  The true freshman has been perfect in kicks, going 5-for-5 to start the season and hasn’t missed an extra point attempt.

Listed as a top-3 kicker coming out of Texas, York has followed in Cole Tracy's footsteps as well as any fan, coach and player could possibly imagine.

York became the first true freshman to make a field goal in school history and will look to add to his building resume against Northwestern State on Saturday.
