The West Mecklenburg (N.C.) offensive tackle Delmar Glaze has committed to the Maryland Terrapins football program as part of their 2020 recruiting class, announced from his twitter account on Wednesday.

ā€œThank God for giving me the opportunity to play this game,ā€ Glaze said in his tweet. ā€œAnd thank you to the Maryland coaches for giving me this chance to play on the next level.ā€

Glaze was rated a three-star recruit and the 38th-best prospect out of the state of North Carolina. He has ideal size for an offensive tackle, standing at 6-foot-5 315 pounds.Ā

Head coach Mike Locksley has to be thrilled to be getting a powerful linemen that could possibly play all over the offensive line due to his athletic ability. His upper body strength is one of the biggest things that stand out when watching his highlights.

He joins Johari Branch, Ja'Khi Green, Zach Perkins, andĀ Santana Saunders as the other offensive linemen to commit to the Terrapins' 2020 recruiting class.Ā

The Terrapins were his only Power Five offer. He received offers from other schools such as Appalachian State, Connecticut, FIU, Massachusetts.Ā

Maryland football now has 22 hard commits for 2020 and their class is ranked 36th in the nation. It is still early in their offseason and it is very likely that the Terrapins will continue to have more commits that will bolster their offensive line.

After their 3-9 season, the Terrapins' future is certainly looking a lot better with seven commitments over the last seven days.
