ACC Basketball News, Standings, and Schedule
With Pittsburgh’s convincing 77-58 victory over Boston College last night, the Panthers became the top team in the Atlantic Coast Conference basketball standings.
The Panthers have now won six games in a row, included in that streak were victories over Wake Forest and Miami. The Canes will get a shot at redemption, at home versus Pittsburgh, on March 4. That contest could decide the No. 1 seed in the ACC Tournament.
The other two contests last night held significance as well. Duke won a much needed contest versus Notre Dame, 68-64, and Syracuse won a highly contested against North Carolina State, 75-72.
Duke’s win keeps the Blue Devils in NCAA Tournament contention, while Syracuse’s victory was more controversial for what happened after the game during the handshakes, between Orange head coach Jim Boeheim and Wolfpack head coach Kevin Keatts.
With the three games completed, here’s where each team stands in the ACC.
