Injury News: The biggest question for this game would be whether or not UM guard Wooga Poplar not only plays, but just how healthy would the junior guard be?
He's been on the mend since an ankle injury against North Florida that took place on Jan. 29, a 95-55 Miami victory. The Canes are potent without Poplar in the lineup, but he's a creative player and a deadly shooter.
The Hurricanes need a healthy Poplar in the lineup. It's a guess whether he plays tonight or not, and an even bigger guess as to how impactful Poplar would be.
As of late Wednesday morning, there is no significant Louisville injury to report.
Betting Odds: The SI Sports Book has Miami -16.5 over Louisville. The over/under is 157.5. The money line has the Canes at -1,786 and Louisville at +825.
Key Matchup: Think of this as a big-picture matchup. The Cardinals are only No. 126 in the NCAA 3-point field goal percentage defense. More importantly, it's volume. Louisville comes to the Watsco Center with 100 3-point makes against them.
The Canes are a 3-point shooting team. Unless Louisville plays better team defense the Miami shooters will hurt them. Five Miami players hit at least 40% of their 3-point attempts, including Matthew Cleveland at 48.6%.
