Miami Basketball Versus Georgia: Where to Watch the Baha Mar Hoops Championship Opening Game
The Baha Mar Hoops Tournament will place the Miami Hurricanes versus the Georgia Bulldogs. The Canes are off to a quality start and this will be their first test away from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables.
It's another chance for Miami junior guard Wooga Poplar to continue his excellent play. He's averaging 20.7 points per contest and shooting a tremendous 70% from behind the 3-point arc.
All five of Miami's starters are scoring in double figures, and the Canes are averaging 91.7 points per contest. The biggest test against UGA will be slowing down guard Jabri Abdur-Rahim, as he's scoring 16.7 points per game and shooting 41.2% from downtown.
Georgia is a balanced basketball team with five additional players averaging between 7.3 and 9.7 points per outing. Miami's defense will need to be consistent and balanced. As for the game location, there is the unique aspect of not being in the United States.
Head coach Jim Larrañaga and the Canes will only be making a short flight over to the Bahamas. It's a great opportunity for everyone in the basketball program to have a great time while playing quality competition.
