In this story:

What will it take for the Miami Hurricanes to reach the NCAA tournament again?

Miami made a program-best Final Four run a year ago, but currently sit outside the projected NCAA tournament picture here in early February. Tough losses to the likes of Louisville, Florida State and Colorado could haunt Miami in March. The Hurricanes are 15-7 on the season, currently 7th in the ACC.

I sat down with Hoodie Girl from The Buckets Podcast on the Five Reasons Sports network to assess the status of Jim Larranaga's team after an important comeback win against Virginia Tech.

"We're on the outside looking in right now. We have a tough schedule coming up. It's rough, but it's also our chance to get into the tournament because there are a lot of quad one wins that we have available to us," Hoodie Girl said.

Miami plays the Virginia Cavaliers on the road Monday night. "That would be a massive quad one win if we can get it." Miami also has two games against UNC on the schedule and a home game against Duke remaining. "If we can win at least two of the next four (quad one games) and win the games we are supposed to win, I think we have a chance to sneak in. We need to do a lot of winning down the stretch and we need to get healthy."
