The Miami Hurricanes Women’s basketball team (19-12) will take on Oklahoma State (21-11) in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

With a #9 seed, Miami head coach Katie Meier and her squad play the #8 seed Cowgirls in Bloomington, Ind., this upcoming Saturday, inside famed Assembly Hall on the campus of Indiana University.

The Hurricanes have won six of their last 10 contests, while Oklahoma State has also gone 6-4 down the stretch.

For Miami, the key will be getting leading scorer Haley Cavinder in a groove early. The senior guard averaged 12.6 points per game this season, including hitting 40.1% of her 3-point attempts.

Also key for Miami will be finding ways to get senior forward Destiny Harden shot opportunities. She was Miami’s second leading scorer at 12.0 per game, as well as adding 5.8 rebounds per contest.

Miami will be matched up with an Oklahoma State team that has senior guard Naomie Alnatas, as she averaged 13.8 points per game, and 3.7 assists per contest as well.

It will be interesting to see how much Cavinder and Alnatas go head-to-head in what should be an entertaining overall matchup between the Hurricanes and Cowgirls.
