The Ship Sinks Deeper: Miami's Losing Streak Extends To Eight With A Loss to Boston College

The Hurricanes Looked Defeated As Their Offense Couldn't Step It Up In The Second Half To Hold Off A Eagles Rally
In this story:

Last season Miami's final home game involved a court storming as they captured the ACC Co-Regular Season Championship, and this season's final home game was the complete opposite.

On a night where Miami honored Nijel Pack and Norchad Omier for Senior Night, the Hurricanes couldn't get their offensive game going as they dropped their eighth-straight game to Boston College losing 67-57.

Heading into the second half down four, Boston College came out wanting it more as Miami's couldn't match them. Senior big Quinton Post continued his dominant play this season with 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the way for Eagles.

Similar to Miami, Boston College's season will likely come to an end in the ACC Tournament unless they end up winning it. However, they'll have a chance to end their regular season on a two-game winning streak when they head to Louisville to face the Cardinals.

As for Miami, Bensley Joseph added to his great end of the season run with 10 points for the Hurricanes. Despite earning the start for Miami over Kyshawn George this evening, Joseph's future remains up in the air as to whether he'll return to the Hurricanes for next season. Matthew Cleveland was the leading scorer with just 13, as he's had a rough season for Miami despite a good stretch to start ACC play.

Sad news for Nijel Pack, as he sustained a left knee injury in the first half and missed the remainder of the game. While Pack has fought all season long to return and contribute to the team, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Miami and Pack opt to sit the remainder of the season.

If there's any hope of ending the losing streak for Miami, they'll end their regular season on the road this Saturday against Florida State. Regardless of how the season ends, there's no doubt change is coming to the program in the coming weeks.
